This course is comprehensive and will make you a independent Laser Cataract Surgeon upon completion.
Eligibility:
Ophthalmologists with very advanced expertise in Phaco Surgeries can only apply for this course.
Duration:
7-10 Days.( The duration depends on the number of procedures the surgeon wants to perform)
Introduction
Trainees will be taken through a introductory course in the initial period. They will be made to observe surgeries performed by expert surgeons to have a better understanding of the procedure. The candidates will gain theoretical knowledge about the Procedure during initial one or two days. This will be followed by practical exposure over the next one week.
Instruments
The centre is equipped with the Lensx Laser Cataract Surgery Machine and very good phaco machines. These are the world’s best equipments available for the procedure and surgeons will have the opportunity to work on these Machines.
No of procedures:
This depends on the preference of the surgeons.
Evaluation
The surgeons would be evaluated in the midst of the course. They can also observe DVD recordings of their own surgeries and can correct mistakes.
